Anna was my father's nurse for multiple nights while he was in the NICU. Anna has far exceeded the characteristics described by the DAISY Foundation time and time again.

From the first night Anna began caring for my father, she has shown profound professionalism, compassion, and clinical expertise. Anna has gone above and beyond to ensure we are continuously informed and has demonstrated tremendous compassion. Anna has taken substantial time to ensure we understand every action taking place regarding my father's care. Her ability to articulate her knowledge and care has generated a tremendous sense of comfort through knowledge for my family in such a confusing time.

Additionally, Anna has used some of her break time to sit with my mother and comfort her throughout this process. I can confidently say that Anna truly embodies the definition of a nurse! Anna's clinical knowledge and dedication have done tremendous things for my family and father. My mother has become increasingly anxious about leaving the hospital at night or resting. However, she has been able to do so when Anna is working because she knows Anna is extremely reliable.

Anna has created such a comforting and confident environment for my family, and I believe she deserves much more than a DAISY Award. The Kaleida Health system is beyond lucky to call Anna a part of their staff!
