Anna took time to explain how long the pain meds would last and also how I needed to care for my new hip when I got home. It was such a nice and easy experience because she was there.
Anna Ray is an absolute delight. She made my wife and I feel like my wife was her most important patient. Anna has such a wonderful, positive spirit about her. She must absolutely love what she does. She has a servant’s heart and it shows in everything she does.

I was recovering from shoulder replacement surgery, and some difficulties arose because of my low blood sodium. Anna made it her personal mission to elevate my blood sodium so that I could be discharged. It took two days of her constant oversight and continued efforts to raise my sodium level, which allowed me to be discharged. I was discouraged and often resistant, but Anna would not give up on me. Anna brought salt pills, concentrated broths, Gatorade, and her superiors to encourage me when I was making no progress. I finally reached a barely acceptable level, but the doctor was somewhat uncomfortable releasing me. Anna came up with the idea that if I promised to have my blood sodium tested again within 48 hours, the doctor would agree. I agreed to the compromise, and I was discharged after she spent a great deal of her personal time instructing me on my discharge instructions, packing me up, and personally delivering me to the car in the rain. Anna clearly went beyond the norm of what I have learned to expect for nurse-patient care.

Anna was the nurse assigned to my room for recovery. It was hard to be in the hospital during the holidays. Anna introduced herself with a smile and a lovely Christmas sweater that immediately cheered me up. Anna was attentive to my needs and always there to proactively help me when I needed care. I appreciated how she really seemed to love her job, and it made me happy to spend the time there recovering.

I had just gone through back surgery with infusion S1 – L5. My surgeon was excellent. The care I received from Anna was beyond; this young lady was genuine from the moment I was rolled into the room. Anna is truly a day-maker to all, no matter what one is going through. I truly believe she has found her calling to change lives to those who cross her path continuously.

My daughter was a patient at North Central Surgical Center while she was recovering from hip surgery. Anna was our nurse on one of my daughter’s hardest days. Anna was very compassionate, extremely kind, and knowledgeable. She made my daughter feel so comfortable and cared for while she was in pain and was feeling anxious about her recovery. Anna explained things so clearly and well; she made sure we understood. Anna took time to train us for at-home recovery. She was very knowledgeable and experienced and was able to problem-solve an issue my daughter was having with her catheter. Anna immediately knew what to do, used bed positioning for gravity, and trained us on what to look for. Even though it was such a busy day for Anna, she took the time to ensure my daughter was all right. Both physically and mentally. We cannot express our gratitude enough for the care and comfort Anna provided. She was such a blessing to us!
