A patient in the MICU was made palliative care with a prognosis from "hours to days once aggressive measures have been discontinued". One of his last wishes was to be able to go outside. He required respiratory support and the ventilator. Anna, along with other MICU staff coordinated care so the patient could be placed on a portable vent, escorted by respiratory and staff to go outside. The family shared how grateful they were to Anna. The patient shared with staff that he knew that his prognosis was not good and that he would not leave the hospital. His request to staff was to "sit in the sun and feel the breeze of the wind one last time".
