Anna is my night nurse. I think anyone willing to work all night long is pretty much a hero, but Anna also has a two-month-old baby at home! She’s wonderful, and always so nice. She shares little “nurse’s tricks” with me, too – like bringing me peanut butter to mix with the somewhat boring chocolate ice cream, which I never would have thought of. And today I had to have an endoscopy so I couldn’t consume anything after midnight, and she recommended that I eat and drink a lot all evening. I normally wouldn’t have, since I wasn’t really hungry or thirsty, but I really appreciated it when I couldn’t eat until four o’ clock this afternoon!
