I would like to acknowledge some extraordinary care I received in the PACU. It is probably no surprise to you to learn that Anna Trunfio is a bright skilled, capable and caring nurse, whose empathy and sensitivity are palpable. I had a physically and emotionally difficult experience, as the course of my surgery needed to be aborted. Ms. Trunfio made this traumatic experience more than tolerable. In addition to attending to my comfort, she made certain that my very anxious family members were soundly reassured. She consistently anticipated our needs and addressed our many questions intelligently and respectfully. No request seemed too much for her. Her responses to our questions were professional, sensitive and sincere. Above all, I felt that truly cared about my well-being. Ms. Trunfio is certainly a huge credit to your department of nursing and to her profession.
