My nurse, Anna, made an incredible difference in my care during my stay at Saddleback. I had been experiencing difficulty with pain management, and my care team was struggling to get it under control. When Anna walked into the room, I felt an immediate sense of peace. Her interpersonal skills were exceptional; she took the time to listen to me and understand the intensity and specifics of my pain, something that I hadn’t experienced with other nurses.
Anna's compassionate nature shone through as she validated my feelings and assured me that she would do everything she could to help me. Her assessment skills were top-notch. She quickly understood the nuances of my pain and was proactive in adjusting my care plan. Anna didn't just follow standard protocols; she tailored her approach to my unique situation, ensuring I felt heard and understood.

She immediately advocated for a change in my medication schedule to better manage my pain and kept in close contact with the doctor to ensure that the adjustments were effective.
