Anna spent a great deal of time going over feedings and teaching baby care in detail to a family who did not speak English or understand English. She, through the help of an interpreter, showed great compassion and care to this Burmese family preparing to go home with their newborn baby from the NICU.
Anna made sure the follow-up appointments were scheduled. She spent hours on the phone finding a pediatrician to follow up with the baby and family. She was such an amazing patient advocate for this baby and their family. She spent most of the day making sure they were comfortable and understood all the teaching before they went home. They thanked her continuously as she worked very hard to make sure they would receive good care, even after discharge!
