Our first daughter was born at Methodist. The care that we received was exceptional. Although every nurse we worked with was kind, competent, and helpful, we want to recognize in particular the nurse that assisted us with our delivery, Anna. Anna was just the nurse that we needed for our first delivery - she was friendly and warm from the time that we met, clearly explained each step and what to expect, answered all questions that we had, and encouraged us through each phase of our delivery. When my daughter's heartrate plummeted during delivery, Anna was calm and timely notified my doctor and the team of nurses that assisted in returning her heartrate to normal. She communicated the information that they needed to assist without hesitation. She actively involved my husband in the delivery process. Following delivery she patiently completed my care and ensured that we were comfortable and set up on the postpartum room. Anna's demeanor, skill, knowledge, and work are deserving of recognition!
