I had a good impression of Annabelle when I first met her because she exudes confidence without being arrogant. She is well-informed and eager to learn. She can also engage in and analyze clinical situations, as evidenced by the fact that she arrives in class ready and prepared. Furthermore, throughout her clinical rotation at Beth Abraham Nursing Center, she illustrates initiative and an incredible eagerness to learn and improve her clinical abilities.

Annabelle forms strong ties with the residents as well as the caregivers. In addition to demonstrating confidence in her clinical skills, she has excellent bedside manners, as the nurse works with her notice. The staff nurse claims Annabelle “demonstrates a high level of confidence, a valuable asset.”

“I asked you to take multiple blood pressure readings today, and you did them all. Success is the result of hard work.” On the other hand, she is kind toward the residents. For example, during the wound rounds, I observed her becoming emotional about the resident’s agony while the physician was changing the dressing. With that display of compassion, I know she will not be a task-oriented nurse but rather one who is dedicated and committed to her patients. Although she is still a student, she exemplifies the qualities of a nurse who will be of value to the nursing profession.
