... Annalisa went above and beyond while caring for a patient on prolonged comfort care. She was vigilant in attending to the patient and her family, who stayed at the bedside for days. Annalisa stood by the family during this difficult time, she advocated for the patient and her family during difficult decisions about pain medicine and end of life care. She educated the family and helped ease their minds and hearts. Annalisa noted that the family was not leaving to take care of their personal needs and brought in sandwiches and muffins from local restaurants to sustain them. Her selfless actions eased the pain of losing a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend just a little.
