She embodies the values, leadership, and compassion of a nurse leader.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Anne for several years. Anne has done so much for this organization as the leader of nursing informatics. I had the opportunity last year to learn from her in my graduate program practicum. Not only is she amazing with her vast knowledge and expertise in nursing informatics, but she is also one of the most compassionate and caring leaders I have met. She always finds the time in her busy schedule to answer any questions or concerns staff have. She takes the time to plan, strategize, and then implement a project. Being a member of the Voalte rollout, I saw how she made sure the rollout was not only swift, but also successful. Her team had a majority of the nursing units on Voalte in a four-day period and provided education to staff. It is a pleasure working with Anne because she understands the issues nurse leaders and staff face and explains why this needs to be completed. One of the more difficult launches was the NHSN validation. It was necessary to complete this as part of an electronic documentation for CLABSI, CAUTI, and ventilators. Anne took the time to meet with staff, nurse leaders, and others to discuss the project and why it needed to be completed. With her leadership, the project was a success. Anne is an amazing leader because she takes the time to listen. Not only was she my preceptor but also a mentor for me. There were a few times when I was eager in my role and needed some guidance. She would take the time to pull me aside and offer words of wisdom and suggestions. To me, she embodies the values, leadership, and compassion of a nurse leader. I have learned so much from her and am grateful for her mentorship and guidance.
