A few months ago, I was asked if I could provide a nurse to speak for the Pi Pi Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, Blessing Hospital, Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing Clinical Program. Asthma was one of the requested topics, so I reached out to Anne Borgemeyer. She not only agreed to speak, but committed the 2 1/2 hour travel time it took to get to Quincy on her day off!
The program attracted 200 nurses, nursing instructors and nursing students. Anne spoke for 2 1/2 hours, and kept the audience engaged and attentive. Great questions were asked during and after her talk. Some of the nurses commented that her info will impact their practice, specifically, they will use the Asthma Action Plan which will equal better care for their patients in Quincy.
