January 2020 Honoree
anne bruce, BSN, RN-BC
In August, on the way to her car, Anne noticed a man walking slowly in the back of the hospital. Concerned that something may be wrong, she kept watching. Soon after, Anne saw him fall in the grass, ran to assist, and called for help. The gentleman was brought to the ED. He was disoriented and combative with a glucose of 23. When he fell in the grass, it was very hot and starting to get dark. Without Anne's care and vigilance, he may have had a bad outcome.
Thank you, Anne, for saving a life that night.
