My father was admitted as a cancer patient in February. My family and I were waiting for a bed to be available. Anne went out of her way to welcome us, took time to apologize for the delay and explain the process my dad would be experiencing. My father was scared and confused, as was our entire family was with this new journey. Anne was not only was very professional, she was warm, compassionate, thoughtful and human. After my dad was admitted she took the time to see if he was comfortable or needed anything. My dad has had many health issues and has been in and out of hospitals. This was the first time a nurse took the time to make a scared family feel comfortable with what was coming. UMC was not my father's choice because he had heard horrible reviews. Anne changed his opinion and my family's. UMC is blessed to have Anne as a member of their staff. One person can make a difference. Anne was that person for my father. Thank you for making such a scary illness to a more comfortable stay. UMC will be our first choice from now on.
