First, the only thing that is better than the level of service that Anne provides is her personality/attitude. Anne cared for me each day starting at 7 a.m. each day. I didn’t get much sleep the first night of my stay and was cranky when the morning shift took over. Upon our first meeting, Anne asked me how I was doing and I told her not so good. She shot back, “well, let’s see what we can do to make it better.” Anne provided all the basic services well, but does so with her dynamic personality which definitely improved my attitude. My treatment was going well, but then I had a setback which was very frustrating. Anne, in a very calming manner, explained that more tests would be taken and a new path forward will be taken to get me better. Anne was right, a new path forward was taken and I feel much better and a lot can be traced back to the positive attitude Anne brought into my room each day.

I truly believe that Anne Muilenburg represents the essence of a DAISY Award and is well deserving.
