Nurse Anne confidently monitored and adjusted my catheter and used a saline solution for irrigation. Her confidence in the process was evident. Anne took a moment to adeptly adjust the catheter and explained how it worked when she noticed my curiosity. Nurse Anne was attentive but at least once allowed me to sleep for a few more moments. Nurse Anne became aware of my rising blood pressure and provided graham crackers because she realized I had not eaten for a long time. During that time of discomfort, Nurse Anne helped reduce my blood pressure to a normal range. Nurse Anne's calming manner, professionalism, and nursing talents did not go unnoticed by me. I have had a few experiences in hospital settings, and I consider her care, her concern, and her practical and calming approach to the patient care I received exemplary. At one point she had told me that she would be back in a half hour. And when I had fallen asleep, I awoke finding that she had been there, left some fresh ice water, and allowed me to sleep. I very much not only noticed but appreciated the extra and outstanding effort she displayed.
