Anne picked me up and carried me through the wall of fear and despair with kindness, empathy, compassion and complete understanding and acceptance.

I am a cancer patient who arrived in the emergency room after my doctor at the Cancer Institute told me to go straight to the ER. There I was diagnosed with a blood clot in my lung, pneumonia, infected port and anemia. I was very sick. After two nights of no sleep, I was pretty much depleted physically and mentally. My hand took on a mind of its own after numerous blood draws and said "no more blood from me". When lab came to get one more draw, it (my hand) was relentless in holding the line...no more blood. That is when I completely lost it and said I agree with my hand, no more blood! But there was Anne. She sat down and took my hand and began to talk to me. Anne picked me up and carried me through the wall of fear and despair with kindness, empathy, compassion and complete understanding and acceptance. I asked her to please say a prayer with me and together we prayed. Lab came in and drew blood that was needed. In that moment, Anne had literally picked me up and carried me through a time of misery and hopelessness and gave me the strength to carry on my physical and mental battle against cancer! I thank God for this Angel of Mercy. Thank you, Anne, you will never be forgotten.
