I have been a witness to Annette's compassionate encouragement to discouraged and distraught patients. She always has been here to take care of my needs. She is good at describing my medications and teaching me the side effects. Therefore, as her patient, I honorably nominated Annette as a nurse of distinction!

As a nurse, becoming a patient is very hard to deal with! I was admitted with abdominal pain and ended up having my gallbladder out. Annette was my nurse on admission and the next day when I had surgery. Although she knew I was a nurse, she still educated me thoroughly and did not assume I knew everything about my care. She was compassionate and empathetic. She went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and needs were addressed. She talked up her coworkers and did bedside handoff fabulously! I cannot say thank you enough to her for taking such good care of me. She is an exceptional example of what it is to be a great nurse!
