I would like to take this opportunity to thank the directors of Pre-PACU, MSO, and the COVID director for allowing me to stay with my grandmother during her hospitalization. During these unprecedented times of the COVID-19 pandemic, I know how important it is to keep patients, hospital staff, and the community safe and as healthy as possible. These directors all made it possible for me to be an advocate at the bedside for my grandmother, who is legally blind and deaf. During recovery from hip surgery, my grandma had confusion and some delirium. I know that it was a comfort to her to have family nearby to remind her of where she was and why she was in the hospital. On behalf of our family, thank you for going above and beyond for my grandmother.
