The amount of care Annette puts into her work is boundless, and I count myself lucky to be a part of her team.
Ms. Annette is an exceptional nurse leader because she is a very understanding nurse leader to her staff, fair to everybody, very approachable/flexible, and intelligent.

She is the epitome of what a nurse leader should be. She genuinely cares for her employees, treats us with respect, listens to our concerns, and values our opinions. She always finds the time to communicate with us and to check in on how we are doing. She supports and ensures our success in every endeavor we want to take. She is very passionate and dedicated to White Memorial and to 4North, working tirelessly and without complaining. She holds our unit together and encourages us, especially in times when we are losing our desire to serve and fulfill our nursing purpose. I look up to her not just as my manager and mentor but also as someone I would like to evolve into especially professionally.

Annette is passionate about her role as the manager on 4 north. She goes above and beyond in ensuring an inclusive work environment. She motivates our unit to work hard together as a team, to improve in all aspects of patient care and safety, and is always proactive in bettering the unit. If there is a concern or something we need help with, she goes out of her way to find an answer for us. She does not make us feel like just an employee, instead, she makes us feel like we are a family.

As a new hire, I requested a handful of days off with the expectation that I wouldn’t get them all. Annette was incredibly generous, going back and forth with me over text (after hours at that!) to make sure I can make it to all of my obligations. Even though I am a new nurse (asking for days off in the busy summertime), Annette was set on helping me out and getting me the right days off. The amount of care she puts into her work is boundless, and I count myself lucky to be a part of her team.

Her dedication to patient care and improving clinical outcomes is demonstrated in every meeting she attends by voicing her concerns and offering feedback.
