Annie B Hershey, RN

No other nurse I have worked with (which is saying something because they are all incredible people) so consistently demonstrates the values of this organization than Annie. Over several years working next to Annie, I have observed the following: a willingness to put others before herself, professional expertise and the knowledge to back it up, an understanding of growth and support of peers and near-peers, and quite importantly, an unrelenting kindness and lovable attitude that uplifts the spirits of her colleagues and patients at all levels.

Annie has personally helped improve my nursing knowledge, and she is always receptive to questions and able to provide actionable feedback. I could go on and on, though what I can say with confidence is this: Annie is an exceptional nurse. She is exceptional among exceptional and is deserving of this award, and I feel that I am equipped to say this, being a recipient of the DAISY myself. But I can honestly and humbly say that my actions are merely a shadow of Annie's.
