August 2015 Honoree
annie chen, RN
Annie was one of the nurses that my husband and I requested for our triplets. When our lives were full of stress, worry and uncertainty Annie was always a breath of fresh air. My husband and I think of her every day. She went above and beyond for our girls. Annie treated them as though they were her own. She made hats for them, filed their finger nails and visited them when she was off. Whenever Annie was there we knew that our girls were in good hands. We didn't worry as much, which is a big deal when you have three kids in the NICU.
Annie will forever hold a special place in my heart. I miss her dearly. She is caring, compassionate, understanding and a great team player. There is something special about Annie. She had a huge heart.
When the doctor said that we'd be leaving soon Annie picked one of my girls up and just rubbed her head and held her for a while - they had a moment - she didn't even know I was looking. It was like I wasn't there. The way she interacted with my daughter meant so much.

Thank you, Annie, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
