In the spring, an amazing doctor and his incredible team saved my life. After ICU, I was brought to Annie Gatz's care.
Annie continued to save my life, of this I am positive! I was completely fragile, both bodily and physically. Annie cared for every inch of my body as if she could feel its needs. And she constantly gave me hope by telling me of every positive gain I was making. While in her care, I relaxed, knowing she would help me stay alive. No doubt I wasn't her only patient, but I always felt she had me in her sights.
When a person/patient is in this truly vulnerable place every nuance matters. Annie saved me, my memory of her continues to give me hope and helps me to restore.
