My 93-year old mother was admitted from her AL facility 2 days after Christmas. She was very ill with what was soon diagnosed as severe UTI and pneumonia. As of this writing, she is on day 8 in the hospital. During her first few days in the hospital, Annie was her nurse. What first impressed me was how careful and thorough Annie was - she had read all of my mother's information and knew all of the important details. She provided straight forward answers to questions and explained test results/physician's orders clearly. She was reassuring and professional. Mother was so ill she needed frequent administration of various medications. Each time Annie explained what she was doing and why, and then asked my mother and me what questions we had and explained again. Annie had several patients at a time - she was extraordinarily patient with difficult and demanding patients, never lost her temper, remained calm and professional throughout. She worked long hours and holidays and worked tirelessly. We so appreciate all she did for us.
