I want to commend Annika Olson. My husband was admitted from the emergency room and I was so tired that night that I drove home. I couldn't sleep so I called the nurse at 0500. I talked with Annika for 45 minutes at least and she listened intently at my concerns about contacting Dr. F and just let me talk about everything. She was so wonderful letting me know the plan, how she would address my concerns. I didn't feel as if I was taking up too much of her time, she just listened and I needed that. I knew she was taking care of my husband so well, even though I couldn't be there. I especially wanted to thank her for that.

Annika showed such compassion when speaking with this patient's wife. Shifts can be busy, especially at this time in the morning preparing for the next shift to come in. Taking the time to talk with her about her concerns shows such compassion. This eased her mind to know that her husband was in the best hands of care he could be. I am so proud to have Annika as a part of our team.
