Dr. Waters continues to go above and beyond for her students. She displays a great example of work-life balance, but never falls behind in her grading or in her work within our program. She has a passion for healthcare that she aims to share with each student she encounters. She shares countless stories of her own patient experiences to help us learn and understand what the specialty of nursing is like in the real world. She makes a point to know things about her students outside of the classroom and checks up on their lives outside of school. She is always available for guidance and encouragement, but she isn’t afraid to tell you like it is. Her drive to continue to further her own education for the betterment of healthcare is beyond inspiring to me as her student. If I go back to grad school, it will be because of Dr. Waters. I strive to serve God and His people through my work as a nurse, just as I have consistently seen Dr. Waters do. She inspires me to be better daily. As I approach graduation and starting a new season of life, I rest assured in knowing I will always have a connection to reach out to, a reference for a resume, and a friend to call in a time of need. Dr. Antay Waters has truly made a lifelong impact on my life, and I am forever thankful to her.
