I was checked into Summerlin Hospital on doctor's orders for bed rest, in the hopes of prolonging my pregnancy. At that time I was 24 weeks. Unfortunately, we only made it to 24 weeks, 6 days, but I know that if I hadn't been there, our beautiful baby girl Grace would not have made it.
Upon arrival on day shift I was met by an amazingly cheerful, upbeat and genuinely caring nurse by the name of Ann, unfortunately my experience with her was only for that one day as she was lucky enough to go on vacation for a while, and I was discharged prior to her return. She was however, extremely professional, and I as well as my husband was impressed with the quality of care she gave to us.
I have a hard time trying to find the exact words to express my appreciation for your Nursing Staff. They are all wonderful, and amazing people, who are caring and so professional and knowledgeable, it is beyond words! As all of the AntePartum Nurses are fantastic, I do have three of your nurses that in my opinion stand out above all the rest. On the day shift Carol and Nida were absolutely amazing, their demeanor kept me calm, and the honest concern for my health and well-being showed. Their willingness to go above and beyond was greatly appreciated.
However, I must above all tell you how stunning and absolutely and truly amazing Carol O'Rourke is. She is calming, tranquil, she is cool under pressure, and if it wasn't for her I would have freaked out even more when my preeclampsia started and we ended up giving birth by emergency C-section. I honestly could not have gone thru this experience without her, and she, in my opinion, is one of the best nurses you have on staff. There are not enough good things I can say about Carol, I owe her a debt of gratitude to have the foresight to see what was happening when the preeclampsia was starting, and who to call, and how to calmly get me into the gown, and help me call my husband, and keep me calm. She made sure my OB was there to deliver my baby, as well as making sure I was taken care of. She is - in my opinion "Super Woman."
I truly hope my appreciation shows through, as I have been touched by your staff and their heartfelt desire to insure my health and safety.
