Patient is an elderly grandmother, and here is what she said about Anthonet: I don’t remember everything — some of those days in the ICU come back to me in pieces, blurry around the edges. But I remember you. I remember trying to speak and not being able to, the frustration building, the fear creeping in. And then you were there. A calm voice, a steady hand, a gentle reassurance: “You’re okay. I’ve got you.” You probably said that a hundred times a week, to a hundred different patients. But when you said it to me, it felt like a lifeline. I don’t think people realize how much strength it takes to do what you do — not just the physical work or the medical skill, but the emotional weight you carry with such grace. You were there when I couldn’t advocate for myself. You were my voice when I didn’t have one. You didn’t just treat me — you cared for my spirit. When I couldn’t sleep, you adjusted the lights so the room felt just a little softer. When I was scared, you stayed a little longer. When I wanted to give up, you reminded me — sometimes without even saying a word — that I wasn’t alone. And somehow, even in the hardest moments, you brought light into that room. I’m healing now, slowly but surely. But I carry you with me. Your kindness, your strength, your compassion — it left a mark I’ll never forget. You were a stranger when I met you, but you were the reason I made it through. Thank you, truly. For saving my life. And for doing it with so much heart.

Thank you, Anthonet, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
