When the patient coded during the process, Aaron offered without hesitation to ride with the patient to Jacksonville with the transport team due to how unstable this patient was.
I would like to nominate Aaron for the DAISY Award for the exceptional care he provided to a critically ill patient with an aortic dissection. During a high-stress situation, Aaron remained calm, thought quickly, and initiated high-quality CPR to support the patient during a life-threatening event. His clinical judgment and rapid response played a critical role in stabilizing the patient. Aaron also went above and beyond by accompanying the patient on the MedTrust transportation from Waycross to Jacksonville to ensure continuity of care throughout the transfer. His dedication, compassion, and commitment to patient safety truly exemplify the kind of nursing care the DAISY Award was created to recognize.

A patient was having an active aortic dissection. Many nurses worked together to save this patient, along with Dr. Sri, but the nurse who stood out was Aaron Bryson, RN. He assisted us in getting this patient as stable as possible before transport. When the patient coded during the process, Aaron offered without hesitation to ride with the patient to Jacksonville with the transport team due to how unstable this patient was. Thankfully, this patient made it out alive. While effort was there for everyone and much appreciated, Aaron truly stood out during this, and his willingness to put the patient first was evident.
