I knew from the beginning that he was a compassionate person. He is always trying to help everyone. He goes above and beyond to help patients and their families. He creates an environment of trust and respect. This allows us nurses to approach him with any difficulties we have on the unit or personally. He always tries to find a solution and is responsive to the needs of others.

Tony is my guy, so loving and caring and very funny. He always puts his team first and is never afraid to jump in and help. The staff is faithfully ready and willing to help when staffing is short and coffee is needed. He knows he can always count on us to fill in.

He brings calmness and stability to our unit. He can make you laugh and bring down our stress levels. He is caring towards our patients, families, and the entire team. He goes above and beyond for everyone.

When our unit moved locations during Covid to care for critically ill Covid patients, I found myself very nervous and anxious, and helpless. He quickly recognized all of my emotions and assured me it was okay and to calm down. Those were the things I needed to hear. It meant so much to me that Tony recognized my emotions and cares.

He is special, gentle, kind, and always open to listening to staff and our requests. He always maintains a calm demeanor and encourages staff to do the best they can. He is hands-on and always has our backs.

He leads by example. He answers phones when needed, buys us food when needed, he turns patients, and will even sweep the floor every morning.
