Anthony was my main nurse throughout my stay after open-heart surgery. I couldn’t have asked for a more professional, polite, personable young man to take care of me. All the staff were top notch. I remember many of their names, but Anthony went above and beyond. So knowledgeable and willing to help with the simplest requests. Anthony never acted like I was “work.” He took genuine care of me. His heart was into his work. Always positive and upbeat. I could not see his smile behind the mask, but his eyes always showed a smile. He rooted for me as I made milestones. He coached me and made walking and breathing in that inhaling device fun. We set goals together. It was the little things. He made my stay so much more pleasurable. He represented Rex 100%! Anthony will never be forgotten. He was with me through the scariest time of my life, and he made it so special. I was ready to go home but I was sad I wouldn’t see him again. He is that memorable.
