I spent some quality time with Anthony during my recent stay at Los Robles Hospital. While I have not spent too much time in hospitals during my 53 years, I have spent enough time to know the difference between poor/average/good care and GREAT care. This is by far the best RN who has ever taken care of me in any hospital or medical facility.
I had back surgery the week before last and then had some complications due to the intubation and anesthesia used during my procedure. I had spasms in my esophagus that hindered my breathing, needless to say, I was extremely uncomfortable.
I know RNs are on 8-10 hour shifts and I was somewhat drugged, but it seemed to me that Anthony never went home. I don't recall ever seeing another nurse during my stay. In my past experience, I have had to hit my RN call button for help, but Anthony was so proactive that I rarely had to hit my call button. It was like he knew what I needed before I knew.
When I did interact, he was upbeat, smiling and energetic. Never seemed frustrated or annoyed with me, even though I was a bit cranky (maybe more than a bit). He explained everything that was happening to me, communicated efficiently and effectively with my doctors and was willing to spend a few moments to get to know me so he could better address my needs.
As far as I am concerned, Anthony is an RN Rockstar! His dedication, care and genuine concern for patients are admirable.

Thank you, Anthony, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
