Over the years with his increasing nursing experiences, Mr. Clovis develops more patience, listening skills, and problem-solving with his co-workers on the unit to get the job done effectively for quality patient care.
Mr. Anthony Clovis RN, staff nurse in Medicine Inpatient Unit for the past 24 years. In 1990, he was employed as a Nurse's Aide in the psychiatry units. Mr. Clovis went on to pursue his career in nursing by obtaining his AAS in nursing in 1996 and became an RN in 1997. He was assigned to Medicine and Surgery Inpatient Units. His journey for educational advancement continued, he obtained his MSN and a certificate in Legal Nurse Consultant years after.
Over the years with his increasing nursing experiences, Mr. Clovis develops more patience, listening skills, and problem-solving with his co-workers on the unit to get the job done effectively for quality patient care. Mr. Clovis's crowning moments are when his very sick patients recovers, walked out of the hospital, and are healthy again to be with their family. Mr. Clovis stated that his fulfillment comes from working on the unit, striving hard on improving the patient's experience, mentoring, precepting, and encouraging new nurses that educational advancement is the key to one's career.
During the pandemic, Mr. Clovis learned how precious and how short life is. He comes to work even when tired always with joy, enthusiasm, and professionalism to provide optimum nursing care. He is a true aspiring team leader.
