Anthony showed caring and compassion to the family and patient of a comfort care patient. We received a downgrade from PCU that was comfort care. Upon arrival to the unit, Anthony made sure the wife of the patient was set up in the room next to the bed where she requested to be. Anthony got her chair close to the bed and got her warm blankets. He sat with her and comforted her during this difficult time. The patient's wife has been unable to see her husband for 3 months due to the COVID pandemic, and Anthony made sure she was able to be close to her dying husband. He made sure she understood the dying process and was okay!
