My Mom was an 89-year-old patient who came in with a severe stroke. She would just scream in agony with this fear on her face. She was in very severe pain. Anthony was God-sent. He came into the room and greeted us. He was a servant to my mom. He really interacted with our family and educated us through the whole process. Anthony spoke to my mother the whole time and let her know what he was going to do for her before he did it. Anthony talked to Mom about taking her temperature and changing her band-aid. He assured her that she was going to be all right. He didn’t act like she was just another patient. He acted like she was family. He didn’t just give her meds and walk out. He explained to us everything that was going to happen. He cried and laughed with us. He is a true example of Excellence, and it was an honor to have him as our nurse. He went over and beyond to make us feel safe.
