Antonetta Klaus, RN
Nettie Klaus is a collaborative RN. I witnessed a patient who came in for a routine doctor’s appointment, experiencing shortness of breath and chest pain. As a nurse, Nettie recognized this could be a life-threatening situation and convinced the patient (who did not want to go to the ER) of the importance of going for evaluation. The patient is now being treated for a pulmonary embolism at Forbes. Nettie’s persistence in making sure the patient got the care she needed may have saved her life!
