Toni is an exceptional nurse who deserves so much praise and recognition. Too many times have I told a doctor or nurse what I'm feeling, my experience or just what I need and I feel disregarded. I feel like since I'm not the professional they think I don't know what I'm talking about. Toni listened to every concern I had, no matter how minor. My daughter was jaundiced and I could tell because my 2-year old boy was also jaundiced as a newborn. I noticed that my daughter wasn't eating often and was sleeping ALL day for 3 days! She would feed for 15-minute intervals and then just sleep for 6 hours. Others might have told me that I didn't need to be concerned, that behaviors like these were normal for newborns, but Toni really listened to me. She went to bat on my behalf to the doctors, explaining my son's history, telling him everything. She listened to my every word and fought for me and my daughter. She got the doctor to be proactive instead of reactive. I have never had a more caring, compassionate and understanding nurse. The world needs more nurses like her! Thank you, Toni!
