Nurse Anu grabbed my attention by caring for me medically, wiping my tears when I was feeling lonely and depressed, reassuring me, and comforting me with positive and encouraging words.
In early May I found myself in hospital where I was told by the doctors that I had arrived in a coma. I suffer from memory loss, confusion, and loss of clear speech and understanding. I was so depressed and crying all the time with sleepless nights topped off by all the agonies and severe pain I was experiencing endlessly. During my stay at Charing Cross Hospital, I came to realise and observe that everyone on the medical team, including the staff from the stroke department, looked after me professionally and with a lot of care. But during my stay in hospital, amid the medical team relaying each other to care for me, Nurse Anu grabbed my attention by caring for me medically, wiping my tears when I was feeling lonely and depressed, reassuring me, and comforting me with positive and encouraging words. I believe that there is no doubt she is extremely passionate about her job and does it with lots of love, caring, passion, attention to detail, and tenderness. So I would like to say that I sincerely experienced and observed extraordinary and compassionate care by Nurse Anu at Charing Cross Hospital.
