I nominated Mrs. Anu George from PICU for the DAISY Award because of her willingness to handle the situation. I was handling the COVID patient in the isolation room. After the endorsement, I noticed my patient is deteriorating. Saturation was very low and the patient was tachypneic. The child was extubated a couple of minutes ago. I rushed into the room and Mrs. Anu followed me to offer her assistance. We initiated bag and mask ventilation and intubation was done with the Physician Dr. A. Our team was successful in saving the life of the patient and with Mrs. Anu help and critical thinking, I was able to respond and deliver high-quality care. She is not my buddy on that day but she did not hesitate in offering her help in this urgent situation.
