I have had the privilege of working with many amazing nurses throughout my career at Phoebe, all of whom have had a hand in growing me in my clinical practice and professionally. However, there is one who stands above the rest. I met this nurse 13 years ago as a new graduate and I realized immediately I was working alongside someone incredible. Her reputation preceded her then and to this day, in the best way possible. She is the kind of nurse that inspires you to be a better nurse...to learn more, to grow professionally, and to always be a patient advocate even when it seems impossible. She has worked in many roles during her time at Phoebe, all of which she has handled with determination and grace. She is an inspiration to so many. I am honored to count her among my nursing mentors and as a friend. Anza Richardson is the epitome of what a nurse should be, and I am honored to nominate her for the DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award.
