In a recent incident, Aphrodite was attending to a patient. During this routine care, she noticed a significant change in the patient's condition. She observed that the patient's right hand appeared weaker than usual. She recalled having attended to the patient just an hour prior when he was able to grasp the side rails without difficulty. However, at this moment, the patient was unable to do so.

Recognizing this new symptom, she noted a facial droop on the patient. She promptly contacted the attending healthcare provider. Despite the provider's delayed response, she took decisive action and activated the stroke call.

The patient had indeed suffered a stroke. Swift administration of TPA and a transfer to the ICU. It's noteworthy that this patient is just 46 years old and was admitted for alcohol withdrawal, making it particularly challenging to articulate symptoms.

I believe that Aphrodite deserves significant recognition for her outstanding work and her dedication to patient care.

Thank you, Aphrodite, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
