April demonstrated compassion, respect, and excellence in two stressful situations. April's patient had a very busy day, lab tests and CNA work, it got very hectic and she stayed focused on the patient while managing to treat other employees with respect. The patient was blind and had severe abdominal pain and cried out in pain while being moved. The patient then started exhaustively apologizing to staff. April put her head near the patient and gave her an amazing pep talk. She let the patient know we were here for her and that we understand how hard of a time she had today. It's nurses who can perform with excellence and compassion, like April, who inspire me to work in healthcare.
