April was our nurse for several days while my husband was in WRMC. It was during the ice storm and she offered to fill in for another nurse who couldn't get to work. She stayed several days at the hospital instead of going home. During our stay, she quickly proved to be more than someone who just did their duties. She was very caring and even came by to check on us after clocking out. When asked "why nursing" she said that was all she had ever wanted to be so she could help care for others. What an amazing attitude. She made every effort to make us believe we were her most important patients. I'm sure others down the hall felt exactly the same way!
