While feedback can sometimes be difficult to receive in clinical practice, April consistently demonstrates a positive and growth-focused attitude. She listens openly, reflects on feedback, and takes immediate action to improve patient care.
During morning rounds, a critical lab value was identified for an EGS patient who had already left the unit for imaging. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, April proactively met the patient during their imaging study, obtained updated lab values, and promptly administered the appropriate medication.
Her quick thinking and decisive action prevented further decompensation and ensured the patient received timely, safe care.
