April Hile has been the unsung hero of BMDA for a number of years. April is not involved in direct patient care BUT she plays a huge role in managing and driving quality results through our accreditation programs that provide patients with the best possible oncology care. April has led three new oncology accreditation programs through successful inaugural surveys for QOPI, APEX, and NAPRC. April also leads our oncology patient education committee, ensuring we have appropriate patient resources for education. April is always willing to help out where help is needed, whether it be for the DAISY committee, giving COVID 19 shots to employees, or with any other event that BMDA may have. She connects with all team members at BMDA through her role including, administration, physicians, nurses, MAs, etc. She also has taken on the huge task of preparing BMDA for FACT accreditation as we develop our stem cell transplant program. April is integral to the success of Baptist MD Anderson. We are lucky to have her as one of our nurse leaders.
