For the past 2 days, I've watched this precious nurse, April Hurtado, deliver such wonderful care to a patient after a major surgery. She always has a smile and truly showscare and honor towards herpatients.
I have also been on the receiving end of April's kindness. Last night she heard me say that I would be driving the 70 miles home and returning the next day. She said there was no reason for me to do that as I could stay at The Fisher House. April began making calls to the social worker. She was about to finish her shift and offered to take me to the social worker on her way home. April took about 40 minutes of her own time to wait until I was done with the social worker and then walked with me at night to The Fisher House. April is a dear soul and an amazing asset to this great hospital. Thank you!
