What can I say other than thank you! Being a new mom with a 5-week old baby that needs surgery would make anyone feel stressed. Both of our days spent with you meant so much. From a delayed surgery and all of our questions in between, your compassion and kindness went beyond words.
On day 2, when you noticed the abrasion on my son's head before I could even point it out to you, it just proved to us again how attentive you are to your patients. My husband and I both work in the hospital system and truly appreciate how well you took care of our sweet boy. Thank you for all that you did to make our stay comfortable. I hope we never have to return with a sick child again, but if we do, I sure hope we can ask for you!

April is an extraordinary nurse, friend, teacher, and leader for our unit and hospital.
Today I was tasked with the assignment of administering a difficult regimen of chemo to an aggressive behavior patient. I am a new chemo trained nurse and was very nervous about how I was going to adequately complete this challenge.
April was charging and is an experienced chemo nurse on our floor. She was there to support and guide me every step of the way and made me feel like a rock star. She has compassion for her patients and colleagues and is always willing to lend a helping hand no matter the circumstance.
I know that I am not alone when I say that April deserves and applause for all of her hard work and help. Acute Care would be lost without her and I know that many, including myself, look up to her.
