Recently my husband was at the hospital for a procedure with Dr. L. While in the pre-op room, April was the nurse who did my husband’s IV and got him ready for his procedure. She made me feel so comfortable and took all of my worries away. She was able to reassure me that everything was going to be okay and that he was in good hands, which I knew already, but it was fantastic to be able to sit and wait for him having my mind put at ease that everything was going to be okay. I believe that April is a great asset to your pre-op department from a family’s point of view. She has the ability to put you at ease and she makes it so much less worrisome for you while you wait. If I could, I would give her 100 DAISY Awards because she is worth each and every one. I cannot begin to thank her enough for making me feel safe and having peace of mind while I waited for my husband to get out of the OR.
