November 2011 Honoree
april malone, RN
The following letter was received regarding nurse April Malone:
“I have been a patient hospitalized at Methodist South 4 times in less than two months, entering the emergency room each time with excruciating pain. April was the nurse responsible for administering my pain medicine through the IV. I don’t like the effect of medicines, and as it was being given, I told her that the amount she gave me was enough. She listened to that. I tell you truthfully that April remembered me every time I came in and was always patient and ready to give me the medication just the same way, always slowly pushing them in and waiting for my signal. I was so grateful and was so relieved each time I saw her face.
Having someone like April on your staff ensures that Methodist will continue to have the excellent reputation that it has today. I tell everyone I know that this is the hospital to choose, and I always mention your patient and professional staff, especially April”.
