During my admission, I was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer. I had a lengthy admission; in fact, I'm still here, and she always goes above and beyond for my care. I was a tough patient to care for with the dreaded CBI nurses secretly cringing over me, but she never showed one time that she was annoyed. She has been an advocate and constantly watches over my care.

After the oncologist was in to discuss my prognosis, she opted to come and check on me and my family on a day when she was not even my nurse. She was working on another floor on that day. On a day when she did not have me as a patient, she also still came to check on me when my IV was bleeding. She was also the charge nurse one day and made sure I would be comfortable with my night assignment. April, please don't get burnt out, and know that you are making such a difference for not only the patients but also their families.
